The activities of the University Festival of Fine Arts concluded at Al-Kitab University. The festival was held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, supervised by the Ministry’s Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Board, and with the participation of (43) public and private universities from across Iraq.
In a closing speech delivered by the President of Al-Kitab University, Professor Dr. Ayad Barznchy, he expressed his profound thanks and appreciation to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, represented by His Excellency the Minister and the Ministry’s Supervision Board, commending the efforts of the organizing and judging committees and the participating universities. He emphasized that the artistic works presented by the students reflect a spirit of creativity and hope for a bright future for an Iraq rising through thought, art, and beauty.
Professor Dr. Mohammed Subaih, head of the Ministerial Technical Committee, also delivered a speech praising the high artistic level of the entries, followed by a speech from the head of the judging committee addressing the artistic and creative aspects of the participating works.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the University President honored the organizing and technical committees, along with the universities that won the top positions. The results were as follows:
- First Place: University of Baghdad
- Second Place: University of Babylon
- Third Place: University of Mosul
- Fourth Place: University of Kufa
- Fifth Place: University of Wasit
- Sixth Place: Al-Mustansiriyah University
- Seventh Place: Islamic University
- Eighth Place: University of Diyala
Thus concluded a festival that, through its paintings and creations, carried the message of purposeful university art aimed at building human character and promoting the values of beauty and creativity within the academic community.
