Scientific Seminar on Malware and Ways to Combat It in Academic Institutions Held at Al-Kitab University

The Continuing Education Center, in cooperation with the College of Technical Engineering at Al-Kitab University, organized a scientific seminar titled “Malware and Ways to Counter It in Academic Institutions,” presented by Assist. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Jassim Mohammed, Dean of the College of Technical Engineering, with the participation of a number of university professors.

The seminar provided a comprehensive overview of the concept of malware, its various types, and its impact on computer systems and networks in educational institutions. It also highlighted the most prominent security challenges facing the academic environment in light of the rapid development of digital technologies.

The seminar also addressed modern methods for detecting electronic threats and mitigating their risks, with a focus on the importance of implementing protective measures and enhancing security awareness among staff in academic institutions to ensure the safety of data and information.

This event is part of the Continuing Education Center’s efforts to support scientific activity and develop the cognitive and technical skills of staff, in line with the requirements of digital transformation and modern information security concepts.
