The Continuing Education Center, in cooperation with the Accreditation Division at Al-Kitab University, held a scientific seminar titled “Laboratory Safety Basics,” attended by a number of university students and individuals interested in scientific and research aspects.

The seminar was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Sarmed Najm Al-Din Majid, who addressed the most important guidelines and instructions related to safety procedures within scientific laboratories, emphasizing the necessity of adhering to approved standards to ensure a safe educational and research environment.

The seminar included a detailed explanation of proper handling methods for chemicals and laboratory equipment, mechanisms for preventing potential risks, as well as an introduction to emergency plans and first aid within laboratories. The lecturer also stressed the importance of spreading a culture of safety among students and researchers, given its essential role in reducing accidents and injuries.

This seminar is part of a series of scientific activities organized by the Continuing Education Center at Al-Kitab University, aimed at enhancing academic awareness and consolidating concepts of quality and institutional accreditation within the university environment.
