Dean of the College of Education at Al-Kitab University Signs Strategic Cooperation Memorandum with the Iraqi National Olympic Committee – Kirkuk Branch

As part of Al-Kitab University’s commitment to strengthening institutional partnerships, reinforcing programmatic accreditation standards, and serving the community, the Dean of the College of Education, Prof. Dr. Adi Jasib Hassan, signed a joint scientific and sports cooperation memorandum with the Iraqi National Olympic Committee – Kirkuk Branch, aimed at developing collaboration between the two parties in academic and sports fields.

The memorandum was signed during an official visit to the Olympic Committee’s headquarters in Kirkuk, where the university delegation was received by the Head of the Committee’s Branch, Mr. Harbi Khalid Tahir, in the presence of Mr. Sabah Hassan Abdullah, member of the Iraqi Athletics Federation, and a number of sports leaders.

The memorandum seeks to establish a sustainable strategic partnership between the College of Education / Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences and the Iraqi National Olympic Committee, contributing to the development of educational outcomes and enhancing alignment with labor market requirements. This will be achieved through the exchange of academic and field expertise in theoretical and practical aspects, the organization of joint training and refereeing courses and specialized workshops, as well as providing consultations and scientific research that support the development of the sports movement in Kirkuk Governorate.

Both parties emphasized the importance of this step in strengthening cooperation between academic and sports institutions, which will positively reflect on the preparation of scientific and sports competencies and the qualification of students according to the latest professional and practical standards.
