Al-Kitab University, represented by the College of Education, received a committee from the National Evaluator Team of the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Apparatus at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. This visit was part of the evaluation procedures for the English Language Education Program, reflecting the university’s commitment to enhancing the quality of its academic outputs and elevating higher education standards.
The committee was received by the University President, Prof. Dr. Ayad Barznchy, along with the Scientific Assistant, Dr. Haza’ Dawood, the Administrative Assistant, Dr. Abdulilah Hameed, the Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Uday Jasib Hassan, as well as a number of college faculty members.
The committee included:
- Prof. Dr. Haider Hatim Faleh – Head of the National Council for Accrediting Programs of Educational Colleges
- Prof. Dr. Tahseen Ali Muhawdar – Head of the National Evaluator Team
- Prof. Dr. Yusra Mohammed Abdullah – Head of the Accreditation Department
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hanaw Hassan Mohammed – Member of the National Council for Accrediting Programs of Educational Colleges
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Firas Taher Hussein – Member of the National Evaluator Team
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muthanna Ismail Turki – Member of the National Evaluator Team
The visit aimed to assess the extent to which the English Language Education Program complies with approved academic accreditation standards, review the educational environment and supporting infrastructure, examine study plans and learning outcomes and their alignment with labor market requirements, as well as evaluate the efficiency of teaching staff and scientific and research activities. It also sought to promote a culture of quality and ensure continuous improvement in academic performance, ultimately leading to the development of recommendations to enhance the program and advance it toward official accreditation.
This evaluation is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to achieve quality and academic accreditation standards, contributing to the development of its educational programs and strengthening its position both locally and internationally.
