The College of Pharmacy at the University of al-Kitab, under the direct supervision of the college’s Student Activities Committee, organized the 2025 chess championship for its students, which launched today (Sunday) with the participation of a number of students from various academic stages.

The championship aims to develop students’ mental and intellectual capacities, enhance logical thinking and strategic planning skills, and foster a spirit of positive competition and sportsmanship among participants. This contributes to creating a stimulating university environment that combines academic excellence with cultural and intellectual activity.

The Dean’s Office of the College of Pharmacy affirmed that organizing such events falls within the college’s plan to support extracurricular activities and encourage students to participate in activities that contribute to building their personalities and nurturing their talents, commending the students’ enthusiasm and positive engagement with the championship.

The championship is set to continue according to an approved competitive system, culminating in the final match and honoring the winning students with certificates of appreciation and encouraging awards in recognition of their efforts and active participation in this distinguished student activity.
