The College of Education – Department of Education and Islamic Sciences, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center at Al-Kitab University, held a seminar titled “Imam Al-Hussain (Peace Be Upon Him): A Symbol of Humanity and a Uniting Tent for Religions and Sects” , attended by a number of university professors and students.
The seminar was lectured by Dr. Ala’ Ahmed Mohammed, who discussed the life of Imam Al-Hussain bin Ali (Peace Be Upon Him), highlighting his status as a global humanitarian symbol embodying the values of justice, freedom, and reform.
The seminar also addressed the intellectual and educational dimensions of Imam Al-Hussain’s revolution, affirming that his message represents a comprehensive humanitarian approach that promotes the values of peaceful coexistence among different religions and sects.
The seminar witnessed interaction from the attendees through interventions and discussions that enriched its themes. It concluded with an emphasis on the importance of continued cooperation between academic departments and continuing education centers in organizing activities that contribute to spreading awareness and promoting humanitarian values in society.
