The College of Law at the University of al-Kitab Organizes a Workshop on Youth Participation in Decision-Making

The College of Law at the University of al-Kitab, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, organized a workshop titled “How Youth Can Participate in Decision-Making,” as part of the university’s efforts to promote community awareness and empower youth to play an active role in various areas of public life.

The workshop covered several key themes focusing on the importance of involving youth in the decision-making process, their role in building institutions and society, as well as discussing the legal and institutional mechanisms that enable their effective participation, the challenges they face, and ways to address them.

The workshop was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Raad Qasim Saleh and Assistant Lecturer Ribin Midhat Omar, who provided scientific and practical insights supported by real-world examples and contemporary experiences. This enriched the discussion and opened the floor for dialogue with the participants.

The workshop was attended by a number of faculty members, students, and individuals interested in legal and social affairs, who emphasized the importance of such events in refining youth skills and enhancing their legal culture, contributing to the preparation of a conscious generation capable of positively participating in decision-making and serving society.
