University of al-Kitab Organizes Science and Technology Gardens Conference and Exhibition to Promote Scientific Research and Innovation

The Department of Science and Technology Gardens at the University of al-Kitab, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, organized the Science and Technology Gardens Conference and Exhibition. The event was attended by the President of the University of al-Kitab, Prof. Dr. Ayad Barznchy, the Scientific Assistant Dr. Haza’ Dawood, the Administrative Assistant Dr. Abdulilah Hameed, along with a number of university professors and students.

The conference activities commenced with an opening speech delivered by the University President, in which he emphasized that the university welcomes all participants in this significant scientific event, reflecting a deep belief that science is the true foundation for development, and that technology represents the future tool for building nations. He also stressed the importance of supporting scientific research, encouraging innovation, and fostering avenues of cooperation between the university and the community, which contributes to achieving sustainable development and serving the scientific mission.

The conference included two scientific lectures. The first, titled “Key Initiatives for Funding Entrepreneurial Projects in Iraq,” was presented by Mr. Mus’ab Muhammad Sa’il, Assistant Lecturer and Head of the Entrepreneurship Unit at the University of Kirkuk. He highlighted the main programs and initiatives supporting entrepreneurial projects and their role in encouraging youth and researchers to innovate.

The second lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Hazim Muhammad Jawari from the University of al-Kitab, titled “Scientific Creativity and Entrepreneurial Ventures.” He discussed the relationship between scientific creativity and entrepreneurship and the importance of transforming research ideas into applied projects that serve society.

At the conclusion of the conference activities, the Science and Technology Gardens Exhibition at the University of al-Kitab was inaugurated. The exhibition featured scientific and research outputs, as well as innovative projects by university students, aiming to foster a culture of innovation and link academic aspects with practical application.
