Student Exhibition on Pharmaceuticals and Medicinal Plants Opens at Al-Kitab University

Al-Kitab University President, Prof. Dr. Iyad Barzanji, inaugurated the annual student activities exhibition at the College of Pharmacy, in the presence of the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Hazaa Dawood, the Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Abd Al-Ilah Hameed, as well as the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs of the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Amid Omar Darwish.

This year’s exhibition is held under the title “Pharmaceutical Radiance,” reflecting the students’ efforts to highlight the scientific and practical dimensions of the field of pharmacy.

The exhibition included a number of awareness-raising booths, most notably a booth dedicated to health education on diabetes. Students presented detailed explanations of the disease’s symptoms, types, and complications, in addition to showcasing the latest treatments available worldwide and the appropriate drug dosages in line with up-to-date medical guidelines.

The event also featured a special section on pharmaceuticals and herbal preparations, where students displayed samples of commonly used medicinal plants, explaining their therapeutic and medical benefits and the proper methods of use, in order to avoid any side effects that may result from misuse.

Organizing the “Pharmaceutical Radiance” exhibition comes as part of the university’s support for scientific and extracurricular activities and its encouragement of student initiatives in the health and knowledge domains. The exhibition contributes to serving the community and enhancing pharmaceutical and medical awareness among visitors.
