The College of Medical Technology at Al-Kitab University held a memorial gathering this morning to mark forty days since the passing of Dr. Ismail Khalil, Head of the Department of Optometry.

The event was attended by the Dean of the College, faculty members, a number of students, and colleagues of the late professor.

Prof. Dr. Salam Al-Khafaji, Dean of the College, delivered a heartfelt speech commemorating the life and contributions of the deceased. He stated:

“Dr. Ismail was not merely a professor or colleague, but a noble human being and a dedicated teacher who left a lasting impact on everyone. His contributions to the Department of Optometry will never be forgotten.”

The gathering included remarks from several of his peers, who expressed their deep sorrow over his loss. They praised his integrity, kindness, and unwavering commitment to his work, affirming that his scientific and professional legacy will remain alive in the memory of the college.

The event concluded with prayers for his mercy and forgiveness, with those in attendance affirming that his spirit will continue to live on in every scientific achievement within the department he loved and served until his final days.
