The College of Pharmacy at Al-Kitab University participated in the International Scientific Conference and Exhibition for Colleges of Pharmacy, which was held at the University of Baghdad under the patronage of the Committee of Deans of Colleges of Pharmacy and supervised by Professor Dr. Sarmad Al-Khatib, Dean of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Baghdad. This event is considered the largest scientific gathering of its kind in Iraq, witnessing a significant turnout of more than 3,000 pharmacists, researchers, and academics from various universities and scientific and industrial institutions.
The delegation of Al-Kitab University was headed by Dr. Abdul-Ilah Hamid Yassin, the Administrative Assistant to the President of the University, and Dr. Amid Omar Darwish, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs at the College of Pharmacy, along with a number of faculty members who actively participated in various segments of the conference. Dr. Amid also delivered a scientific presentation during the exhibition activities, in which he addressed a specialized topic that reflects the advanced academic orientation of the College of Pharmacy at Al-Kitab University and contributes to strengthening scientific communication and the exchange of expertise with participants from different institutions.
Al-Kitab University’s participation was marked by a dedicated pavilion for the College of Pharmacy, where students’ innovations and projects were showcased, reflecting their scientific creativity in the fields of pharmacy and applied research. The conference activities included scientific sessions that discussed the latest research and developments in pharmaceutical sciences, in addition to an industrial and pharmaceutical exhibition that brought together pharmaceutical companies, national manufacturing firms, and pharmaceutical education institutions. The event also featured a series of training workshops focused on enhancing participants’ scientific, practical, and entrepreneurial skills.
This participation aligns with Al-Kitab University’s vision of strengthening its academic presence in major scientific forums and supporting its students and academic staff in engaging with local and international experiences and expertise, with the goal of advancing educational and research standards in the field of pharmacy.
