“Al-Kitab University Participates in the International Scientific Forum: “From Silence to Empowerment”

On Saturday, Al-Kitab University participated in the International Scientific Forum held under the theme From Silence to Empowerment.” The event was organized by the University of Tikrit in collaboration with a number of local and international universities and scientific institutions.

The forum, which was held under the patronage of Professor Dr. Iyad Barzanji, President of Al-Kitab University, witnessed the presence of numerous distinguished academic and legal figures. Among the key attendees were Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, President of the University of Tikrit, Dr. Nada Al-Abadi, Director of the Women’s Affairs Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, along with representatives from the Iraqi High Commission for Human Rights.

Also present at the forum were Professor Dr. Abdul Rahman Jihad Mansour, Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Tikrit, Professor Dr. Omar Najmuddin, Dean of the College of Arts at the University of Kirkuk, and Dr. Mithaq Bayat Al-Dhaifi, Director of the Virtual Center for Disabled Women at the University of Tikrit.

The forum addressed various scientific topics related to the psychology of individuals with disabilities, highlighting the importance of community empowerment for people with disabilities and the role of education in improving their quality of life. The participants emphasized the need to enhance collaboration between educational institutions to develop support programs that facilitate the effective integration of individuals with disabilities into society.

It is worth noting that the forum was organized through the Virtual Center for Disabled Women at the University of Tikrit, as part of ongoing efforts to support disability issues and women’s rights in Iraq and the Arab region.
