In the presence of Al-Kitab University President, Professor Dr. Iyad Barznji, Mr. Yaqoub Najmaddin, and several members of the Kirkuk Provincial Council, Al-Kitab University launched the activities of the 5th International Scientific Conference, which is one of the most significant academic events in the region.
The opening session began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the Iraqi national anthem. Then, the opening speech was delivered by the President of Al-Kitab University, who emphasized the pivotal role of universities in addressing global challenges. He stated:
“The world today faces unprecedented challenges, whether economic, environmental, or social, which places upon us, as universities and scientific institutions, a central role in providing innovative solutions that contribute to improving the quality of life. In this context, our conference serves as a scientific platform to discuss the key issues affecting development, such as resource sustainability, technological challenges, and the role of education in building strong and prosperous societies.”
He added:
“We are proud that Al-Kitab University has become today a center for scientific research and intellectual development, and a gathering place for scholars and researchers working together to find solutions to the challenges facing our communities.”
Dr. Abdel-Ilah Hamid, Chairman of the Preparatory Committee, also delivered a speech highlighting the importance of the conference in strengthening scientific collaboration and exchanging ideas among researchers.
Professor Dr. Omar Injeh spoke about strategic planning and performance evaluation, stressing their role in developing institutions and enhancing the efficiency of their workforce, contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals.
It is worth mentioning that the conference includes scientific sessions and discussion panels covering a variety of topics aimed at addressing pressing issues across various fields.
