The Continuing Education Center, in cooperation with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Division at Al-Kitab University, held an educational scientific seminar titled “National Security is a Shared Responsibility: The Citizen’s Role in Protecting the Homeland.” This event was part of ongoing efforts to enhance societal awareness and instill values of belonging and national responsibility among students and the community.
The seminar was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Nashwan Abdulkarim Yahya, who addressed the concept of national security and its importance for societal stability and progress. He pointed out that preserving the nation’s security is not limited to security institutions alone, but is a shared responsibility that falls upon all members of society.
The lecturer also discussed the citizen’s role in supporting security and stability by adhering to laws, rejecting rumors, fostering a spirit of cooperation and solidarity among community members, as well as the importance of spreading national awareness across different segments of society.
The seminar witnessed interaction from the attendees through interventions and questions that enriched the discussion, emphasizing the importance of continuing such awareness activities that contribute to building a conscious society aware of its responsibilities toward its homeland.
