It focuses on studying the molecular mechanisms of life, including metabolic pathways, protein structure and function, genetic regulation, enzymology, and biochemical techniques.

The department offers a comprehensive curriculum that integrates theoretical coursework with hands-on laboratory training. Students gain proficiency in modern biochemical instrumentation, data analysis, and experimental design. Special emphasis is placed on applications in health, medicine, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and environmental science.

Equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories for molecular biology, analytical biochemistry, and cell culture, the department fosters an environment of inquiry and innovation. It collaborates actively with research centers, hospitals, and biotech industries to ensure that graduates are well-prepared for careers in research, healthcare, industry, and academia.

Led by a team of distinguished faculty with expertise in biochemistry, molecular biology, and biotechnology, the department aims to become a regional hub for biochemical education and applied research.

Vision

To become a leading academic and research hub in biochemistry and molecular life sciences, recognized regionally for innovation, education, and impactful contributions to health, environment, and industry.
