al-kitab university celebrates the Entrepreneurship Week to promote creativity and innovation.

Within the activities of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and under the patronage of the President of Al-Kitab University, Professor Dr. Iyad Al-Barzanji, the Technology Incubator Division for Entrepreneurship held a special celebration entitled “Entrepreneurship Week”, with the attendance of the Scientific Assistant Dr. Hazza Daoud, and the Administrative Assistant Mr. Abdul-Ilah Hamid. In his speech during the opening, Professor Dr. Iyad Al-Barzanji stressed the importance of entrepreneurship in the current era, noting that it has become a basic driver for achieving economic and social progress. He explained that entrepreneurship represents a source of creativity and innovation that contributes to building a better future. The President of the University added: “Our goal from this week is to explore inspiring ideas, exchange experiences, and shed light on the challenges and opportunities facing entrepreneurs, in a way that enhances the innovation environment and motivates young people to achieve their ambitions.” “Entrepreneurship Week” included a group of events and activities that aim to support emerging projects, develop skills, and encourage innovation among students and members of the academic community

A student from Al-Kitab University participates in the Falling Walls Lab to support sustainability

As part of the activities of the Technological Entrepreneurship Incubator at Al-Kitab University and in line with the university’s efforts to enhance its global academic reputation, Zain Al-Abidin Sabah Ali, a student from the College of Pharmacy at Al-Kitab University, participated in the Falling Walls Lab, held on September 5, 2024, at the Erbil International Fair. The event was organized under the patronage of Salahaddin University and Open Space Academy. Project PresentationZain Al-Abidin presented an outstanding project focused on protecting bees from the impacts of climate change and utilizing bee products in pharmaceutical research. The project aims to highlight the vital role of bees in promoting public health and pharmaceutical discoveries. It marks a significant step towards achieving the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Research and DevelopmentThe student is currently a researcher within the EDEN Research Group, working to implement the innovative ideas presented in his project to promote sustainability and preserve biodiversity.
