Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ayad Barznji, President of Al-Kitab University, and the supervision of Dr. Mohammed Jasim Mohammed, Dean of the College of Engineering Technology at the university, the college, in collaboration with the Al-Kitab Platform for Sustainable Development and Green Hydrogen, will hold the Second Virtual International Forum for Eco-Friendly Universities from January 21–22, 2025, titled: The 2nd International Forum on Eco-Friendly Universities: Towards Comprehensive University Sustainability The forum aims to: It is worth mentioning that Al-Kitab University hosted the first international forum on September 23, 2023, with participation from researchers from Iraqi, Arab, and global universities.

The activities of the 5th International Scientific Conference concluded today (Sunday), with wide participation from researchers from various Iraqi and international universities. The conference witnessed remarkable attendance from academics and specialists in diverse fields, where a large number of research papers addressing current and important academic issues were presented and discussed. During the conference sessions, researchers presented new insights and findings that enriched the discussions and opened up opportunities for scientific collaboration between universities and research institutions. The conference was also distinguished by its high-level organization and interactive discussion sessions, which allowed for the exchange of ideas and experiences among participants. At the end of the conference, Dr. Abdel-Ilah Hamid, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, honored the participating researchers in recognition of their scientific efforts and valuable contributions. Dr. Abdel-Ilah praised the efforts made to ensure the success of the conference and emphasized the importance of continuing to organize similar events to support and advance scientific research. It is worth noting that the conference received significant media coverage and attention from the academic community, reflecting its importance and role in promoting international cooperation in the field of scientific research.

At a ceremony held by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research on Iraqi Science Day, December 30, 2024, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, awarded Prof. Dr. Samir Saadoun Al-Jubouri, a faculty member at Al-Kitab University, the Outstanding Research Award as one of the best research works among Iraqi universities. This achievement reflects Al-Kitab University’s commitment to supporting scientific research by providing a research-friendly environment for all researchers at the university. His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education grants the Iraqi Science Day Award to Prof. Dr. Samir Saadoun Al-Jubouri.
