The College of Pharmacy at #Al-Kitab University Organizes an Intensive Training Course in Skincare and Non-Surgical Cosmetic Techniques.

The College of Pharmacy at Al-Kitab University, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, organized an intensive training course titled “Skincare and Non-Surgical Cosmetic Techniques,” held from February 8 to 12, 2026, over five consecutive days.

The course aims to enhance the skills of graduates from medical specialty colleges and prepare them for the job market by acquainting them with the latest scientific techniques and modern practical applications in the field of skincare and non-surgical cosmetics.

The opening ceremony of the course was attended by the Administrative Assistant to the University President, Dr. Abdulilah Hameed, the Assistant Dean of the College of Pharmacy for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Amid Darwish, alongside a number of university professors and students.

The course commenced with a moment of silence to recite Surah Al-Fatihah in remembrance of the souls of Iraq’s martyrs, followed by the playing of the Iraqi national anthem. Dr. Amid Darwish then delivered a speech in which he emphasized the College of Pharmacy’s commitment to organizing scientific and practical courses that contribute to developing the capabilities of students and graduates and linking academic aspects with job market requirements.

Additionally, Dr. Mustafa Mohammed, the head of the Rehabilitation and Employment Division, delivered a speech highlighting the importance of such courses in enhancing employment opportunities and building specialized professional skills.

The first day of the course included a series of specialized scientific lectures. Dr. Media Hassan Ahmed presented a lecture titled “The Physiology of Skin,” followed by a lecture by Dr. Hussein Manhal on the same topic, focusing on the functional and physiological aspects of the skin.

Dr. Sarmed Najm Al-Din also delivered a lecture titled “The Role of Microbiology in the Cosmetic Industry,” discussing the role of microorganisms in the manufacture of cosmetic products and their impact on the quality and safety of products.

It is worth noting that the course continues for five days and includes both theoretical lectures and practical applications, contributing to enhancing the scientific and practical expertise of the participants.
