Al-Kitab University participated in the launch ceremony of the National University Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Championship, which was inaugurated by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research on Monday, February 9, 2026, with broad participation from Iraqi public and private universities, reaffirming its role in supporting scientific initiatives and promoting the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence applications.

The University of Al-Kitab was represented at the ceremony by the University President, Prof. Dr. Ayad Barznchy.

This participation comes within the commitment of the Presidency of Al-Kitab University to support national scientific initiatives and strengthen the University’s presence in the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence applications, contributing to developing students’ skills and supporting modern education trends and digital transformation.

The opening events also included speeches by the President of the American University of Baghdad, Dr. Bradley J. Cook, and the CEO of the Center for Excellence in Innovation and Development, Mr. Ziyad Sha’ban, alongside a number of presentations in the fields of entrepreneurship and innovation.

It is worth noting that the National University Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Applications Championship adopts specialized competitive tracks covering the mechanical, electronic, programming, and engineering aspects of modern robotics.
