The Continuing Education Center, in cooperation with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Division at Al-Kitab University, organized a scientific awareness seminar titled “Risks of Illegal Migration,” attended by a number of university students, as part of the university’s commitment to enhancing societal awareness and addressing issues that directly affect young people.
The seminar included a valuable lecture delivered by (Assistant Lecturer Nashwan Abdulkarim Yahya), in which he highlighted the reasons and motivations behind the phenomenon of illegal migration and the accompanying psychological, social, and economic risks, in addition to the legal and humanitarian challenges that migrants may face.
The seminar also addressed the negative impacts of this phenomenon on individuals and society, while emphasizing the importance of raising awareness about the role of educational institutions in guiding youth toward safe and legal alternatives and developing their capabilities to invest in their potential within the homeland.
