Al-Kitab University Organizes a Scientific Seminar on Human Rights in Islamic Sharia

The Human Rights Division at Al-Kitab University, in cooperation with the College of Education, organized a scientific seminar titled “Human Rights in Islamic Sharia.” The seminar was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Adel and attended by a select group of university professors and staff, along with a number of students.

The seminar addressed the concept of human rights from the perspective of Islamic Sharia, outlining the foundations and values established by Islam to safeguard human dignity and ensure fundamental rights such as the right to life, justice, equality, freedom of belief, and social solidarity. The lecturer also highlighted the comprehensiveness of Islamic Sharia and its pioneering role in affirming human rights long before international conventions and laws.

The seminar emphasized the important role that universities and academic institutions play in spreading the culture of human rights and raising societal awareness through scientific activities and awareness seminars that contribute to building a generation conscious of its rights and duties. At the end of the seminar, the floor was opened for attendees to share their opinions and questions, enriching the dialogue and achieving the scientific and educational objectives of the event.
