His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, presented a certificate of appreciation to Dr. Omed Omar Darwesh, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs at the College of Pharmacy, in recognition of his excellence and successful completion of the International Training Program for Building Researchers’ Capacities. The program targeted (50) researchers from various Iraqi universities.

The course was held under the direct supervision of the Research and Development Department of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in cooperation with the global Clarivate Foundation, the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, and the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils, for the period extending from April to October 2025, as part of an international initiative aimed at preparing professional trainers in the field of academic research at the regional level.

During the honoring ceremony, His Excellency the Minister praised the scientific efforts made by Iraqi academics in acquiring international expertise and employing them in developing the scientific research environment within universities, emphasizing that the Ministry attaches great importance to supporting national competencies and encouraging them to engage in global programs.

For his part, Dr. Omed Omar Dresh expressed his gratitude to His Excellency the Minister and the Ministry of Higher Education for this honor, stressing that this achievement represents an incentive to continue working towards enhancing the level of academic and research performance in the College of Pharmacy and Iraqi universities in general.
