Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, and the supervision of the President of the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Bahaa Ensaf, the Student Activities Department of the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority organized the Iraqi Universities Athletics Championship. The event was held at the University of Baghdad and the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences from April 26 to 30, 2025.

Al-Kitab University’s team participated in several athletic events, including running and throwing competitions. Student Harim Mohammed Aziz achieved third place in the discus throw, outperforming numerous participants and representatives from other Iraqi universities.

The championship saw broad participation from 65 public and private universities across Iraq, including Ashur University, Al-Farahidi University, Al-Rafidain University, Al-Kitab University, Ahl Al-Bayt University, Al-Qalam University, Al-Turath University, Al-Mustaqbal University, Warith Al-Anbiya Islamic University, Al-Karkh University, Al-Bayan University, Al-Ain University, Al-Ma’arif University, and the Iraqi University of Science and Technology.

This participation reflects Al-Kitab University’s commitment to supporting sports activities, developing students’ physical abilities, and strengthening its presence in national university events.
