The Department of Technical Community Health, officially approved on September 30, 2025, is a vital department within the College of Health and Medical Techniques at Al-Kitab University. It specializes in training qualified technical staff to work as a crucial link between clinical settings and the community. The program focuses on practical skills in field epidemiology, health screening, patient education for chronic diseases, managing vaccination campaigns, and operating community health information systems. The department offers integrated curricula that blend theoretical knowledge with extensive field training, enabling students to conduct community needs assessments and implement targeted health interventions. It collaborates closely with primary health care centers and public health directorates to provide students with real-world experience. The department is supported by specialized laboratories for health data analysis and is supervised by a distinguished group of academics and technical experts in community medicine and health education.

To be a national leader in graduating highly competent community health technologists who significantly contribute to disease prevention and health promotion within the Iraqi community.

To prepare technically skilled graduates, through rigorous academic and field-based training, to effectively deliver preventive health services, conduct community-based surveillance, and lead health education initiatives that address pressing public health challenges.
