The Department of Drone Engineering at Al-Kitab University, established on October 7, 2023, is a pioneering program in Iraq that focuses on preparing specialists in unmanned aerial systems (UAS) technology. This department meets critical workforce needs in drone technology across sectors, including defense, aviation, agriculture, and energy. Over a four-year program, students gain comprehensive knowledge in the design, manufacturing, and operational control of drones, qualifying them to serve in roles that require specialized expertise in drone applications and ground control systems. Graduates will be well-prepared to support Iraq’s infrastructure and development by working with key ministries and organizations, including the Ministries of Defense, Interior, Agriculture, and Oil.
