A delegation from Al-Kitab University, headed by Prof. Dr. Iyad Barzanji, the University President, accompanied by several members of the University Council and academic and administrative staff, participated on Saturday in the activities of the Higher Education and Scientific Research Platform Conference, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi. The event was held at Al-Noor University in the city of Mosul.

The conference was attended by Prof. Dr. Muzahim Al-Khayat, Chairman of the Higher Education Committee in the Iraqi Parliament, and Prof. Dr. Haider Abdul Zahd, Deputy Minister for Scientific Affairs.

In his speech, Dr. Muzahim Al-Khayat emphasized the importance of digital transformation in advancing the higher education system in Iraq, highlighting the strategic benefits of this shift on both administrative and educational levels.

For his part, Dr. Haider Abdul Zahd delivered a detailed presentation on the significance of digital transformation within the Ministry of Higher Education. He showcased modern electronic systems, particularly the HEPIQ platform, which aims to enhance university performance and simplify services for students and faculty members — including the issuance of digital student IDs.

Al-Kitab University’s participation comes as part of its continuous efforts to promote academic openness and engage with digital advancements that serve the educational process in Iraq.
