The Continuing Education Center at Al-Kitab University is an academic service entity with legal personality, serving as the executive arm of the university in the field of continuing education and executive education. The center was established based on the provisions of a ministerial order issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (No.: B T 2/2979 on 2025/3/6), which in turn relies on the instructions for establishing continuing education centers and the Private Higher Education Law.

The center represents a fundamental pillar in achieving Al-Kitab University’s mission of community service by bridging the gap between university education outputs and the changing demands of the labor market. Based on the authorities stipulated in its founding order, the center aims to:

First: Design and implement specialized educational and training programs including:

• Specialized workshops and conferences

• Professional certification programs

• Continuing education courses for teaching and administrative staff

Second: Target a wide range of learners including:

• University graduates and students

• Teaching and administrative staff at the university

• Public and private sector institutions in the local community

Third: Contribute to human resource development and capacity building by providing substantial and practical knowledge, making the center an essential partner in driving human and economic development in Iraq.
