The Department of Technical Cardiac Care, officially approved on November 9, 2025, is a vital department within the College of Health and Medical Technical at Al-Kitab University. It specializes in training qualified technical staff to work in cardiac care units, catheterization labs, and non-invasive cardiology departments. The program focuses on practical skills in electrocardiography (ECG/EKG), cardiac monitoring, pacemaker maintenance, echocardiography assistance, and cardiac emergency response. The department offers integrated curricula that blend theoretical knowledge with extensive clinical simulation training, enabling students to operate advanced cardiac equipment effectively and assist in cardiac diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. It collaborates closely with cardiac centers, hospital cardiology departments, and intensive care units to provide students with real-world experience. The department is supported by advanced simulation labs for cardiac scenarios and is supervised by a distinguished group of academics and technical experts in cardiology and cardiac technology.
