The Continuing Education Center at Al-Kitab University, in cooperation with the Human Rights Division and the College of Law, organized a workshop titled “The Right to Education as a Human Right and Its Role in Achieving Sustainable Development.” The workshop addressed three main themes. Professor Dr. Adnan Qadir Zankana presented the first theme on “Education in Iraqi Constitutions,” discussing how Iraqi constitutions address the right to education. In the second theme, Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Adel presented “The Right to Education as a Human Right,” explaining the legal dimensions of this right at both the local and international levels. The third theme was presented by Dr. Emad Khalil Eidhan on “The Role of Education in Sustainable Development,” where he discussed how education contributes to achieving sustainable development goals. The workshop witnessed significant interaction from the attendees, and emphasis was placed on the importance of promoting the right to education to achieve sustainable development in society.
