Department of Technical Engineering of Mechatronics

about the department

The Department of Technical Engineering of Mechatronics at Al-Kitab University represents a transformative leap forward in engineering education within Iraq and the broader Middle East region. Established on October 17, 2023, our department was created to address critical technological gaps in Iraq’s industrial and manufacturing sectors while positioning our graduates as competitive players in the global Industry 4.0 revolution.

As one of the most modern engineering departments in Iraqi higher education, we specialize in the convergence of mechanical systems, advanced electronics, intelligent control systems, and cutting-edge software engineering – the four pillars of mechatronics innovation. Our programs are carefully structured to meet ISO 19443 standards for industrial automation education while incorporating localized solutions for Iraq’s unique infrastructure challenges.
