5. That the university be a reference for scientific services for the region in particular and Iraq in general.
6. We seek to be a source of education, learning and training.

The Department of Scientific Affairs is considered a forum for the production of university researchers from various scientific achievements, patents, and a tireless scientific publishing movement in addition to many diverse scientific aspects. This department was established within the Department of Scientific Affairs and Cultural Relations, where it assumed its scientific identity and became an independent department supporting various types of knowledge.

1. Providing all the material and moral requirements in order to improve the reality of scientific research for the university in general and for the scientific departments and cadres in particular.
2. Organizing all scientific discussions, seminars and conferences, in coordination with scientific departments.
3. Developing teaching staff by holding constructive training courses related to scientific research and solid publishing.
4. Adopting a cooperation mechanism between the university and other relevant colleges and universities in a way that serves the advancement of the research aspect in order to advance and place the college in the first ranks of international classifications.
5. Paying attention to scientific production, marketing it, and encouraging researchers to increase their research outputs.
6. Creating a database for the research outputs of all scientific departments.
