Launch of the Second International Scientific Conference The Great Scientific Demonstration of Al-Kitab University
Under the slogan “Technology Insures Invention and Creation”, the second international scientific conference of Al-Kitab University has been launched on Tuesday 4th of December 2018 in Erbil International Hotel under the auspices of his Excellency the ministry of higher education and scientific research of Iraq.
The opening ceremony has started with reciting verses from Quran Kareem, then the speech of his Excellency the ministry of higher education and scientific research has been delivered by his representative, deputy of scientific affairs Prof. Dr. Salam Khoshnaw, who has emphasized the role of such conferences in enhancing the educational level of the universities and appreciated the effort of Al-Kitab University to hold such a conference.
Later, the president of Al-Kitab University, Prof. Dr. Ayad G. Barzanchi, gave a speech in which he stressed the university persistence on achieving its plans towards internationality through international conferences, entering the international rankings, and getting ISO certificate. He also appreciated the support and the active role of the ministry especially the department of private education. The manager of the international IEEEE branch, the sponsor of the conference, also gave a speech on the occasion.
Afterwards, Dr. Talib Al-Musawi, chairman of the Iraqi private colleges and universities association, gave a speech in which he appreciated Al-Kitab University role in organizing such a conference stressing the association’s role to promote the private universities outcomes in Iraq.
A documentary movie entitled “AlKitab University …… the dream which has become true” which narrates the journey of the university since its establishment in 2012 has been shown. It also tackled the distinguished efforts of the ministry of higher education represented by its ex-manager Mr. Ali Razuqi, the current manager Dr. Hanaa, and the deputy Dr. Tariq. The documentary also showed the exceptional effort of the university investor Mr. Yakoob Najmaddin and his endless support to improve and promote the university. Other distinguished figures also attended the opening ceremony among them: President of Kirkuk University Prof. Dr. Abbas Taqi, Deputy of Kirkuk University Dr. Omer Enja, a group of Private colleges and universities deans, and tens of researchers and academians from ten Arab and foreign countries.
