HE the Minister of Higher Education attends a meeting of the Council of Private University Education
On Monday, 2nd of July 2018, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Al-Issa, discussed the appointments, scholarships and scientific promotions in private colleges and universities during his chairmanship of the periodic meeting of the Council of Education.
HE the Minister of Higher Education confirmed (in a meeting held at Al-Farahidi College and was attended by a number of ministry leaders and deputies, including Dr. Salam Hassan Khoshnaw, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Scientific Affairs and International Relations, and Mr. Ali Razzouki, Director of Private University Education) that the Ministry puts within its priorities strengthening the sound scientific fundamentals on which private university education is based in a way that makes it an important supporter of government (public) education.
HE added that work is underway to ensure the level of universities and private colleges on the belief and confirmation of the harmony of their requirements in line with the policies and directions of the ministry and the need of the labor market.
The participants discussed the provision of spaces to adapt the nature of the outputs of private education through the provision of appointments and the preparation of a mechanism for scientific promotions for the teaching staff and scholarship programs.
The meeting was attended by dean of Al-Kitab University College, Prof. Dr. Eyad Ghani Ismail, and a number of deans of colleges and presidents of universities. It is to be noted that the dean of Al-Kitab University College is a member of National (Private) University Education Council.
