A scientific symposium at Al-Kitab University on the dangers of drugs
The Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance, in cooperation with the Department of Continuing Education at Al-Kitab University, organized on Tuesday (8/3/2022) a scientific symposium on the dangers of drugs and their negative effects on human health, in which Assistant Professor Dr. Aidan S. Ahmed the lecturer in the Department of Pathological Analysis at the College of Medical Technology, gave a lecture in the presence of Prof. Dr. Ayad Barzanji, President of Al-Kitab University, and Mr. Ahmed A. Jagheef, Head of the Department Quality assurance and university performance, and a group of distinguished professors and university students.
The symposium, entitled (Drug dangers and its negative effects on human health), shed light on this dangerous scourge, how to confront it, and immunize society from it.
The symposium recommended strict application of deterrent laws, including Law No. 50 of 2017, activating the role of the university to combat drugs, paying attention to the cultural aspect, supporting the security services and helping them eliminate drug dealers and drug users, as well as giving sports programs a major role in preventing drug misuse with the need to hold lectures in the field of drug misuse, raising awareness in clubs, sports federations and youth forums, and distributing anti-drug media materials among young people during matches.
