Under the auspices of the President of Al-Kitab_University, Prof. Dr. Ayad Barzanji, and the President of Kirkuk University Prof. Dr. Sabah Ahmed Ismail, under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Kirkuk, Prof. Dr. Omar Najm Al-Din Anja, established the Department of Continuing Education at Al-Kitab University, and in cooperation with the Faculty of Arts at the University of Kirkuk, today (Saturday 6/26/2021), a scientific symposium Entitled (Caring for the elderly is everyone’s responsibility) on the occasion of the International Day for the Prevention of Abuse the elderly.
The lecture was delivered by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts at Kirkuk University, Prof. Dr. Omar Najm Al-Din Anja, a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Kirkuk, a consultant in diseases Internal Medicine, Digestive System and Liver, Dr. Samar Saad.
The scientific symposium came out with a set of recommendations; Most important: the symposium will be the nucleus of an awareness campaign to care for the elderly through the media, and the topic of care for the elderly is part of Graduation projects for graduate students of education, nursing and medicine by visiting schools the nursing home, hospitals, and awareness campaigns in primary schools to plant seed Caring for the elderly starting from young ages, activating the role of health centers and training Health teams to visit the elderly and according to the geographical area, activating the role of pulpits and preachers Educating citizens through speeches and lectures, and opening private training institutes For training and rehabilitation.
The symposium was attended by a group of deans and professors of faculties and scientific departments and a group of students.
