Study starts at the University at the end of September of each academic year and the students who want to join the University can submit their application forms starting from August of the same academic year.
To apply to Al-Kitab university:
The applicant should have the high secondary certificate or its equivalent.
A non-Iraqi high secondary certificate should be approved by Ministry of Education.
The age of the applicant to morning classes should not exceed 30 years, but the applicant to evening classes is not subject to age condition.
Previous years high secondary school graduates can also submit to the various departments of the colleges of the university.
Submission of the application does not necessarily mean admission in the scientific departments of the colleges of the University, since admission depends on competition according to the number of the available seats and the applicant’s high secondary average grade.
The applicant should provide the University with the undermentioned forms and documents:
The application form duly filled in by the student and the school, which should be approved by the Ministry of Education.
Information Form.
A coloured copy of the Civil census Identity with the original for verification.
A coloured copy of Iraqi National certificate with the original for verification.
A coloured copy of the ration form with the original for verification.
A coloured copy of the passport for foreign students with the original for verification.
Medical check-up report.
Six photos with white background size (8.4×3).
Residency Support letter (Mukhtar’s support letter) or residency card.
High secondary graduate certificate approved by Directorate of Education.
Specific Privileges offered to Students
The girl students will be entitled to on-campus residence, which consists of fully furnished modern residential apartments.
Education fees can be paid in numerous instalments.
Finding job opportunities for graduate and outstanding students.
Outstanding students (top students) of the scientific department will be granted exemption of the education fees as indicated below:
_ The first on the college will be exempted by 100%.
_ The first on each department of each level will be exempted by 60%.
_ The second on each department of each level will be granted 40% exemption.
_ The third of each department of each level will be granted 20% exemption.
