The Department of Media and Public Relations at Al-Kitab University conducted an interview with Dr. Reem Ahmed Abu Asi, a lecturer at the College of Pharmacy at Al-Kitab University, currently, a student on scholarship to Malaysian University of Science USM, about the details of her participation with a specialized scientific team in Malaysia to produce a new disinfectant to prevent COVID-19. First of all, congratulations on this success that you have achieved, and we are all proud of you, and we want to ask: How were you chosen in this team?
– Dr. Reem: Within the vision of the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education to integrate the pharmaceutical industry, with scientific research, I was selected to participate in a research team at the Research and Innovation Center at the Malaysian University of Science, to carry out the manufacture of sterilizers, both spray and gel, which are distinguished by their laboratory-proven ability to sterilize, and give A less viscous and more refreshing feeling for the user, and the work within the project comes to my PhD studies, on scholarship from Al Kitab University, and I look forward to implementing the project in Iraq, which is based on the investment of local raw materials in general, natural and industrial alike. How did the Malaysian media deal with this project?
– Dr. Reem: In fact, many Malaysian TV channels and newspapers have accompanied this project and the team members have given us many TV and press interviews.
– Is there a word for the Al-Kitab University?
– Dr. Reem: Of course, all thanks and greetings to my dear university, Al-Kitab University, which stood with me and supported me, and has great merit for my participation in this project, through my scholarship to complete my Ph.D. to the Malaysian University of Science.
