Quality and excellence in the field of technology and application of radiological sciences and medical imaging, and that the Department of Radiology Technologies has a unique scientific position in the academic field locally and in the Arab world and plays an effective and effective application role in the technical, health and medical field, according to the community’s need and the requirements of the labor market.
The mission of the Department of Radiology at the College of Medical Technology at the University of the Book is to direct and adapt all its sources to reach excellence in education, research, and patient care, and to contribute to improving human health and preventing its diseases throughout Iraq to provide services and medical care in the field of radiation, in line with traditions Ethical and professional values. This thesis includes the essential elements in improving patient care in Iraq to include education, scientific research, continuing education, community service, qualification of professional competencies in radiology techniques, and contribute effectively to scientific research and community service, through a stimulating environment to acquire, publish, and produce knowledge in radiology techniques, and optimal employment of the technology, And building local and global partnerships.
The department aims to graduate skilled technical staff in the field of diagnostic radiography and be eligible to work on operating different radiographic imaging devices (X-rays, sonar, scanners and magnetic resonance) in various health institutions and care for them. High-efficiency technical cards capable of dealing with complex and advanced technologies in the field of devices Radiography and able to draw successful results to reach an accurate diagnosis of various pathological conditions by a specialist radiologist who, in turn, leads to a cure to these conditions.
