The Department of Banking and Finance is one of the important scientific departments at Al-Kitab University, the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences, and it is one of the departments that accompanied the establishment and development of the university since 2012, in response to the requirements of the labor market in Iraq and to qualify students with the knowledge and skills they need and according to appropriate scientific and methodological plans to achieve excellence in education Financial and banking in accordance with international standards for the financial, administrative and banking industry. The department aims to enhance the student’s knowledge of theoretical and applied financial, banking and financial topics and prepare graduates who are able to compete and work in various financial, banking, administrative and economic institutions, whether they are in the public sector in the private sector Where the student is provided with several scientific curricula over a period of four years, the duration of study in the department, starting with general principles in economics, management, accounting, statistics and mathematics and then graduating to a more specialized, more in-depth and diversified curriculum in accounting and branches of financial, monetary and commercial economics and branches of financial and sports management and other supporting curricula In order to achieve the department’s mission to keep abreast of scientific developments in the field of specialization and to accommodate students from middle school graduates to enable them to acquire and disseminate modern scientific knowledge and to develop and develop creative and innovative thinking skills for students of the department and the ability to prepare scientific scientific research according to scientific research curricula and to provide scientific advice to the private and public sectors in various The affairs of the economic, financial, administrative and accounting sciences, which will contribute to achieving economic development and bring about qualitative changes in the craft structure of the population and contribute to achieving the state’s main goals in economic growth
