I would like to express my pride in representing the Department of Education and Islamic Sciences in the College of Education – University of the Book to draw clear and mature steps in its vision and for the fact that the Department of Islamic Education and Sciences – College of Education seeks to excel in what it offers in terms of programs and services through proper planning and consultation with partners inside and outside the university, and so on. This is followed by a continuous review and development. As such, it is considered a house of expertise in the field of teaching and learning, scientific research and community service in the field of Islamic education
The department has research plans to deal with many local issues with criticism, analysis, and offer appropriate solutions. Then the legal aspect, and the department has participated in a lot of events and community activities in the city of Kirkuk and Alton Bridge
The department is supervised by a group of qualified and experienced professors. The department is proud of the faculty, technical and administrative members who have contributed and still are to achieving the department’s vision and mission and advancing it through translating its strategic plans and goals

The Department of Islamic Education and Sciences seeks to be a leading institution for knowledge and learning and contributes to promoting and promoting the progress of the human race in accordance with Islamic principles and values and strengthening communication at the Islamic world level in the field of education and human resource development.
Preparing an outstanding graduate in the field of Islamic sciences, committed to the ethics of the teaching profession and is equipped with knowledge, skills and technical competencies in the field of Islamic sciences and has the ability to conduct quality scientific research, and provides professional services in the field of education and advocacy, in order to meet the requirements of the community’s educational need and religious awareness.
- Preparing a specialized generation capable of carrying the scientific trustworthiness and advocacy by preparing the students of the department to be qualified to teach the prescribed Islamic education curricula.
- Upgrading the curriculum curricula established in the college with various Islamic, modern and Qur’an specializations to suit the requirements and developments of the times.
- Upgrading the scientific level of the department’s teachers through the work of contemporary scientific research, finding solutions to modern society problems, and participating in seminars and lectures for each of the teachers by following the department’s approach to this matter.
