The Department of Financial and Banking Sciences at Al-Kitab University was established on 26/3/2013, as one of the pioneering departments in the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences. It plays a crucial role in meeting the growing demand for professionals in the financial and banking sectors in Iraq. The department is dedicated to equipping students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills in financial and banking sciences through structured academic plans that adhere to international standards. Over a four-year program, students are prepared to excel in various financial, banking, administrative, and economic institutions, whether in the public or private sector.
The department emphasizes a progressive curriculum, beginning with foundational courses in economics, management, accounting, mathematics, and statistics, and advancing to specialized courses in accounting, monetary and financial economics, commercial finance, and mathematical financial management.
