Department of Clinical Psychology
about the department
The Department of Clinical Psychology at Al-Kitab University, established on November 9th, 2025, is dedicated to advancing the scientific understanding, ethical practice, and compassionate delivery of mental health care. The department is committed to preparing students to become skilled clinical psychologists, diagnostic assessors, psychotherapists, and mental health advocates capable of conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations, developing evidence-based treatment plans, and providing therapeutic interventions for diverse populations. By integrating rigorous theoretical foundations in psychopathology, cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychological assessment, and neuroscience with hands-on clinical training, we aim to equip graduates with the expertise to address complex mental health challenges in individual, family, and community contexts. Through specialized courses, supervised clinical practicums, research initiatives, and community mental health outreach, the department serves as a cornerstone for professional integrity, scientific inquiry, and empathetic healing in the field of clinical psychology at the university and throughout the wider society.
